     It's been a while I haven't written anything to you. Believe it or not, I didn't even have enough time to sleep! Most of the time I was busy with my classes . That's why I am this late in Writing. Sorry! From this week I have more free time. J Anyway, let me thank you for your nice comments on my blog. That really was an unexpected pleasure! As always you were so kind to me. I don't know how I can thank you. I hope to deserve all those compliments you pay me!

Happy Women's day

International Women's Day is celebrated on 8 March. It is a day to celebrate womanhood and marked by women's groups around the world. This date is commemorated at the United Nations and is designated as a national holiday in many countries. The day stresses on the equality, justice, peace and development for women.

 Now read this story  about women.

 

  A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will." Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"  "All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

 The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?" God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special."

 I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

  I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

 I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

 I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

 I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

 I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

 And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

 "You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.

 The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

Alliterative expressions are pairs of words in which the second member of the pairs is repetition of the first except for a difference in one sound.You have heard many alliterative expressions in Farsi such as: شلوغ پلوغ, کتاب متاب, چاخان پاخان

An obvious function of these expressions is that they make speech less formal and more friendly .Now look at these alliterative expressions in English.

1. Wish wash:  دودل

He is such a wish washy person that cannot make a decision.

2. Mish mash:   درهم بر هم

My room is kind a mish mash room that you can find everything you want.

3. Chit chat:گپ

What did you talk about? “Oh just chit chat.

4. Ship shape: جمع و جور

Let’s get this house ship shape.

5. Zig zag: زیگ زاگ

The children ran in zig zag around the park.

6. Shilly shally: شل و ول 

Stop shilly shallying and make decision now.

7. Dilly dally: این پا اون پا کردن

Don’t dilly dally just gets your things and let’s go.

8. Tick tock: تیک تاک

I can hear the tick tock, but I can’t find my watch.

9. Clip clop: تق و توق

He makes such a clip clop that we couldn’t sleep a moment

10. Teeny weeny : کوچول مچول  

Look at her, such a teeny weeny little girl.

11. Ding dong: دینگ دانگ

A bell striking ding dong.

12. Silly billy: گیج و ویج  

Oh, I’m a silly billy. I’ve bought salt and I meant to buy sugar.

Don't waste precious time

worrying about

what you should have done…….

But rather; focus your attention

on what you are doing now,

and what you want to do

in the future

Don't concentrate

on any mistakes that might

              have been made,

but learn from them.
